About Us
Vanessa’s Dumpling House started in 1999 when Vanessa Weng opened in a small storefront on Eldridge Street in Chinatown where she sold her first batch of dumplings. Vanessa felt dumplings were missing from the Chinatown streets and knew with her detail to quality and centuries of tradition, Vanessa’s dumplings would be delicious and a welcome success.
Today, dumplings have become a permanent part of the casual food landscape.
As the demand for dumplings expanded so did Vanessa’s Dumpling House when Vanessa chose a partner in 2010 to grow the Vanessa brand through the New York metro area.
