About Us
Originally built in 1910 as three street front stops including a grocery, our beautiful building was converted to the Hotel Maple Leaf in 1935. Operated as a hotel, bar and dining room for travelers and local residents for 80+ years. Maple Leaf Tavern is perfectly situated for residents and travellers Toronto’s vibrant Eastend. Through the 1980’s,1990’s and 2000’s the Maple Leaf Tavern garnered notoriety as a down and out drinking hall. We stepped into the space in 2013 and undertook extensive renovations to bring back this landmark to its former splendour. Maple Leaf Tavern 2.0 re-opened in Spring 2016 and has been the catalyst for the Gerrard St. E. rejuvenation.
