About Us
Our first experience with Poke (pronounced “Po-Kay”) dates back to January 2015 when we first tried it in the beautiful islands of Hawaii. It was love at first bowl. To our surprise, despite our city’s diverse food and culture, no one had brought this dish to Toronto. So began our quest to recreate that unforgettable experience and to share it with our city.
Umami is the 5th taste – meaning flavourful and savoury. Our Poke is the culmination of our efforts of obtaining umami. Our sauces pay tribute to those we tasted back at the islands while also adding a Toronto twist – from typical Korean flavours to Middle Eastern sauces.
